Returning to the Gym
Heading back to the gym for the first time in 2 weeks following the results of my CT Scan. This time I’m much more nervous. Last time I had assumed my ribs were healing, today I’m going back to the gym knowing one of them is in the same state it as the day they were broken.
The main complication is I am not permitted to twist my torso. The wrong movement can undo any healing and can also cause my rib to puncture my lung. No upper body weights, no core work, no functional training. The next few weeks will be leg weights, elliptical / cross-trainer, stairs, bike and walking.
